How to Join the Event Using Hopin

Prior to joining the event, you must create a Hopin account using this link: https://hopin.to/sign_up.

To receive course credit for attending this event, do not sign in using Facebook, Google, LinkedIn or SSO. You must create a Hopin account using your full name and @northeastern email address.

  • Once you have created a Hopin account you can view the virtual fair by clicking the “Join the Event” button on the Home page of this website.

  • This will bring you to the Hopin platform where you will be able to join the virtual clubs/organizations fair by clicking the blue “Join event” or “Enter event” button.
  • You can preview the event, but you will not be able to join the live clubs/organization booths until February 4th at 6:30pm EST.
  • There is a Chat option to the right side of the screen where you can ask general questions which all participants will be be able to see.
  • For help, search for COE Hopin in the People tab to send a direct message to the event organizer.
  • On the left side of the screen the Reception area has some tips on how to navigate through Hopin.
  • The Expo button which will bring you to all of the clubs/organizations participating in this event. Click on an organization to join their booth.

 

  • When the booths are live at 6:30pm EST you can join the discussions within each booth. The booths will all have student leaders from the various clubs/orgs. You can request to share your audio and video to have a discussion as you would in person.
  • In a booth you can send messages exclusively to people within the booth using the Chat option to the right. This is another way to communicate with the student leaders.
  • While in a booth you can view the group’s website via the globe icon.
  • Click the “Register Interest” button to add yourself to the email lists of the groups you’re interested in joining.
